Peikko delivered Gravity Foundation Technology for the Jouttikallio wind farm project, which is located in Lapua municipality, South Ostrobothnia, Finland. The project represents a turn-key delivery for six wind turbines.

The deliveries of Peikko’s solution comprised of steel components for the foundation. Peikko is responsible for the foundation design, structural calculations, manufacturing, components, installation and concreting.

The project is executed by OX2, German developer company operating on the Finnish wind energy market. The owner of this project is the investment company Allianz Capital Partners. The Jouttikallio wind farm was the first wind farm investment for Allianz’s energy portfolio in Finland. OX2 was responsible for project development and construction of the park and is also responsible for the day-to-day operation of this 21 MW wind farm.

OX2 is responsible for technical and commercial administration of the wind park. Total of six wind turbines produce power of 21 MW and yearly amount can reach up to 63 GWh. Hypothetically such amount would cover almost half of the yearly electricity consumption of Lapua municipality. The hub height of the turbines is 147m with the tip height of 210m.
