Peikko Group’s subsidiary, Peikko USA Inc., has received a remarkable order for a residential construction project. Peikko has delivered 3.6 kilometers of DELTABEAM® Composite Beams to the Bridgewater Crossing residential area currently under construction in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The project consists of three 45 unit luxury apartment buildings which will be LEED Green Building certified. There are 5 residential levels per building with parking below the residential units. The first and second buildings are currently under construction.
The developer of the project is CJ Betters Builders LLC and Cavcon Construction manages the construction. JMAC Architects is responsible for the architectural design and WBCM for the structural design. The residential area will be finished by the end of 2018.
“Modular space solutions enabled by Peikko’s DELTABEAM® allow for custom-made adaptable structures creating important time-savings on the construction site. Reduced on-site activity leads to increased safety on site as well as overall security and safety by traffic reductions”, states Topi Paananen, CEO of Peikko Group Corporation.

DELTABEAM® Slim Floor Structure is Peikko’s composite slim-floor system for multi-story buildings of any kind. It allows flexibility for layout changes throughout the service life of the building, and enables easy HVAC installations. With the use of DELTABEAM® the depth of the whole structure can be reduced, which means savings in construction time and costs as well as in heating and cooling costs. DELTABEAM® enables different kinds of cantilevers and architecturally challenging façade solutions without the use of in-place casting.
